Membership Benefits

The Sonoma County Woodworkers Association is a non-profit association of over 100 professional and amateur woodworkers. Through the presentation of lectures, seminars, discussions, workshops and field trips we seek to promote the education of the principles of woodworking.

Members may attend our monthly meetings, typically held on the first Tuesday of the month, at members' shops or a local conference room. These meetings encourage an open exchange of information about wood and woodworking methods and provide an opportunity to share experiences, ideas, techniques and the mutual enjoyment for creating with wood.  We usually have a formal presentation or demonstration by a distinguished professional at each monthly meeting.

We produce a monthly newsletter, the Wood Forum, keeping our members abreast of recent and future meetings and current events. Members receive the Wood Forum newsletter by email.

Members are entitled to participate in the SCWA produced Artistry in Wood show at the Sonoma County Museum. This juried exhibition of fine woodworking has gained a significant reputation for its exhibit of high level work.

Members are also entitled to use the Members Only sections of our Website. These sections allow members to post their profile information, post notices on the Online Forum and receive notices of events posted by other members.
